Mininavident wins Swiss Technology Award
Mininavident AG has won the Swiss Technology Award 2015 in the category Start-ups. The award has been presented at the Swiss Innovation Forum (SIF) on November 19th at the Congress Center Basel.
The Basel-based company has developped DENACAM, a miniaturized navigation system for the precise implantation of dental implants. It is directly fitted to the surgical tool holder and guides the drill in real-time and in 3D to the correct implant position and angle using a ceramic dual-mode-marker and proprietary algorithms.
The DENACAM system is compatible to most 3D implant planning software, based on digital Cone Beam CT data to deliver enhanced visualisation and increased accuracy for dental implant procedures.
Mininavident AG is a spin-off from the University Hospital Basel and the University of Applied Sciences FHNW. It was founded in 2013 by an experienced group of cranio-maxillofacial surgeons (SICAS members Philipp Jürgens and Hans-Florian Zeilhofer), medical engineers and dental industry specialists.
